Makeup is something that has been a part of my life for a while now, I feel like it’s constantly evolving and getting better. Makeup is something that makes me confident yet without it I can still be myself, I love it because I can become a completely different person. Sure, it’s not for everyone and certain people wear it for different reasons but my main reason is because I see makeup as art. Our faces are canvases so therefore we must show off our artistic skills and talents. Makeup allows me to embrace every part of me including my flaws. So it’s only fair I have my favourite products, right?
It’s hard to distinguish my favourite beauty product of all time as I’ve been through a lot of makeup throughout the years; my preference to favourite makeup is eyeshadows and mascaras. This is probably because I look a lot better with it rather than without it! I find applying it amazingly therapeutic and if I start my day relaxed, completing my look for the day then I know it’s going to be a good one!
2015 has been a great year in terms of the progression of my makeup, mainly because I’ve learnt how to actually do it now! One product that has been my favourite is the Urban Decay’s Naked 3 pallete, its retail price is £38 however online shops such as EBay and Amazon sell them for slightly cheaper. All of the colours in this pallete are neutral colours and long lasting; paired with a good quality primer (possibly Urban Decay’s own?) they can be super pigmented too – although they already are! The price of this pallete is very expensive for eyeshadow but I can honestly say it’s worth it for the quality of product you would be receiving. I’ve had my Naked 3 palette since January this year (over 9 months) and I use it pretty much every day and haven’t yet bought a new one.
If you aren’t willing to invest in this product just yet but need some new neutral eyeshadow colours, there are many dupes that are totally cheaper and just as lovely. The W7 In The Nude pallete is a total recommend, I have never had it although I know other bloggers and YouTubers that love it and say it’s got some gorgeous colours in. With a retail price of £9.99 it’s a lot cheaper than the Naked 3. Another dupe is Revolution’s Iconic 3 pallete, now this palette is A- MA-ZING. I had this product a lot last year and just couldn’t get enough of it, I often use the colours in it instead of my fave Naked 3 as I like a change. At £4.00 per palette you can save a lot of money, and then maybe if you’re totally in love with the colours you could take the splurge on the Urban Decay pallete!
