So it’s official, summer is over. It’s time to put those sandals, maxi dresses and sunglasses to the back of the wardrobe until next year. But, don’t be too downhearted because autumn is upon us! In other words, it’s time for a whole new wardrobe! Let’s once again embrace, tights, layering, coats and scarves. Autumn and winter is my favourite time of year for fashion, I adore wrapping up and wearing boots and scarves again! Throughout August most stores have launched their new autumn stock, in time to get us all wrapped up for the cold. This season, I am glad to say, the 70’s trends that followed us throughout summer are here to stay! So get ready to embrace suede, blouses, pinafore dresses and killer boots!
The Animal Print Boot
The classic Chelsea boot has been updated this season with an animal print twist. Leopard print, snakeskin- think bold, seventies prints! Team with jeans or an A-line skirt to jazz up any outfit.
Parisienne Vibes
With inspiration from Paris in the swinging sixties, stores are full with chic parisienne style items. From classic A line skirts teamed with stripes to statement jumpers, think Brigitte Bardot or Jane Birkin and this trend always ensures you are effortlessly elegant.
The Bella Freud jumper has been a huge hit with celebrities and bloggers alike. Get yours for a fraction of the price!
The Pinafore Dress
The pinafore dress is the perfect layering piece that is so versatile. Team with a polo neck of blouse to stay on trend this autumn.

Statement Coats
Think outside the box and invest in a statement coat that will last throughout winter. From faux fur to suede, experiment with different fabrics to really make your outfit stand out.
Heritage Fabric
Sherlock Holmes vibes are strong this season. Wear classic tweeds, checks and houndstooth prints to encapsulate this classic trend. Stick to classic items like a trench coat, tailored suit or a cape to really nail this trend.
Team heritage fabrics with contrasting colours to keep your outfit looking modern not granny esque!
The 70’s Pussy Bow
The 70’s are here to stay! And there is nothing that screams 70’s glamour more this trend. Team up a classic pussy bow blouse with flares and A-line skirts or go for a killer floral playsuit or dress to really go all out. Alternatively, make your own with a skinny scarf in a bold print.
